Taekwondo is a Korean martial art and combat sport that emphasizes high, fast kicks and powerful, precise techniques. It is known for its distinctive kicking techniques, but it also incorporates various hand strikes, blocks, and stances. Taekwondo is both a sport and a form of self-defence, making it a well-rounded martial art.
The only way for you to know if martial arts is right for your child is giving them an opportunity to try it out for themselves. You can schedule a complimentary trial class to see if it's a good fit before registering them for a membership.
Make sure your child wears athletic clothing they can exercise in and bring them a water bottle.
We have the Month-to-Month memberships. The Month-to-Month membership gives you access to 2 classes per week
You can pause or cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice.
A key focus of our training at Master Nam’s Taekwondo Academy revolves around teaching kids about self-discipline, confidence, and respect. As such, our students can assuredly stand up for themselves when they need to but also firmly understand that their martial arts training is only to be used in self-defence. We give them the tools to effectively navigate different real-world situations through communication and empathy first and foremost.
